From Orchard to Glass, Right Here in Warwick

Award-winning wines, small-batch spirits, and Hudson Valley harvests waiting for you seven days a week.

About Us

Fourteen miles of rolling farmland separate Warwick, NY from the noise of the city, and Warwick Valley Winery, Distillery & Orchard sits squarely in the middle of that quiet. The property on Little York Road is a working farm first: apples, pears, and stone fruits ripening through the season, eventually pressed, fermented, and distilled into the bottles lining the tasting room shelves. Over a thousand guests have left reviews averaging 4.5 stars, and the ones who come back year after year say the same thing: this place feels like an exhale.

The café is a genuine draw on its own. Regulars who have made weekday lunch here a ritual describe the menu as far more thoughtful than what you'd expect at a winery stop, with options that hold up whether you're pairing with a glass of dry hard cider or just lingering over the orchard view. The tasting flights move through wines and spirits made from fruit grown steps from where you're standing, which gives every pour a specificity that imported grapes simply can't replicate.

What We Offer

The tasting experience covers five pours under the open-air tent or inside the tasting room, walking you through estate wines, Doc's Draft Hard Cider (one of the Hudson Valley's most recognized craft ciders), and small-batch distilled spirits including apple-based brandies and whiskeys. Staff can walk you through production if you're curious about how orchard fruit becomes a finished bottle.

Beyond tastings, the property hosts live music events, private celebrations, and seasonal farm-market weekends where you can pick up fresh-pressed juice, local preserves, and bottles to bring home. The event venue accommodates weddings and corporate gatherings with a backdrop that no ballroom can fake. The farm store stocks everything from estate bottles to orchard provisions, making it easy to leave with more than you planned.

"The wine tasting was a big letdown. We went under the white tent and did the tasting standing at the table and were rushed through all 5 wines. I asked if my wife and I can sit down at the picnic tables and were told no. No option for cheese and crackers just hurry up and drink the wine which the servings were sip amounts. I have to say the wine tasting experience is not good at all. As for the interior, that was great the food was amazing, the band was incredible and the manager was on top of everything. The burgers were great. I wish our wine tasting experience was better not sure if it was a one off but something wasn’t right."

"I have been coming here for years. YEARS! It’s such a great escape especially during the week and you need a great place for lunch. The cafe has such great options for everyone. The tastings are great too, but little secret… grab a bottle of their sangria and some glasses…you cannot go wrong with anything here. Cheers!"

"I’ve been coming here for years, and it never disappoints. It’s the perfect getaway during the week, especially if you’re looking for a relaxing lunch spot. The café offers a fantastic variety of options for everyone, and the tastings are always a highlight. Pro tip: grab a bottle of their sangria and a couple of glasses — you really can’t go wrong. Everything here is simply amazing. Cheers!"

"We love spending an afternoon here. You have an option of a booze tasting, wine tasting, or hard cider tasting. You can grab a bag of chips or pretzels, or even step it up and grab some cheese to accompany your tasting. Be rugged and eat it with your hands. It's nice that it's available. They also make some pretty great craft cocktails, so if you've done all the tastings before, and just want a couple of reasonably priced cocktails, go that route. Then, take your drinks into the main rooms and listen to the live, local music. They have a full menu, and the pizza is pretty damn good. The fries are perfect. The recent eggplant sandwich was superb. Every time we go, we can't get out without buying a bottle of the Pig Gin - handcrafted and made with peppercorns. The bourbon and rye are pretty solid, too. It's an absolutely lovely place, the staff is friendly and professional. Grounds are sprawling, even in winter. I know it gets crazy around apple picking time. Be warned about that. I love this place."

"We drove about two hours to visit Warwick Valley Winery, and it was definitely worth the trip! The atmosphere is beautiful and family-friendly, we went apple picking with the kids, and the quality of the apples was amazing: fresh, crisp, and delicious. The tractor rides through the orchard were a fun touch and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. There’s plenty of parking, which made arriving and getting settled super easy. The food here is excellent you can tell they use quality ingredients but be prepared for a bit of a wait both when ordering and when receiving your food. It’s definitely worth it once it arrives, though! The only downside is that there aren’t enough covered seating areas or tents, especially on a rainy day. It would be great if they added more sheltered spots with tables so visitors could enjoy their meals comfortably no matter the weather. The wine tasting was another highlight friendly staff, a nice variety of wines, and very affordable bottle prices. Overall, a fantastic day trip spot for families or couples looking to enjoy good wine, great food, and a classic upstate New York orchard experience."
